Job summary

Vigor seeks a Work Authorization Forms (WAF) Coordinator to administer the work authorization process for ship repair activities. You will oversee WAFs and Technical Work Documents (TWDs) across ship availabilities, ensuring 100% compliance and zero violations.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in QA roles at heavy manufacturers or shipyards, knowledge of NAVSEA standards, and strong communication and analytical skills. On-site role in Oregon with Navy and subcontractor coordination.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; BA in quality tech/engineering or related fields preferred.
  • NAVSEA standards knowledge and NAVSEA access badge eligibility required.
  • Experience in a heavy manufacturer or shipyard QA environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Verifies ship systems are properly tagged out and safe before work starts.
  • Validates that all tags are complete and properly hung.
  • Audits tag placements and tamper checks.
  • Logs tag out information into electronic database and binders.
  • Acts as liaison between Ship’s crew, subcontractors, and production for WAFs and tagouts to ensure compliance.
