The Work Authorization Forms (WAF) Coordinator administers the work authorization process and oversees the process for the Work Authorization Forms and Technical Work Documents (TWDs) for all repair activities throughout the course of ship’s availability.
Operates within general parameters, but must use sound judgment and independent decision making when carrying out job responsibilities.
The person interfaces with project management, production personnel, vendor personnel and Government personnel.
High School Diploma or GED Certificate is required. BA in quality technology, engineering, mathematics, the basic sciences or related fields or equivalent experience is preferred. The person must meet eligibility requirements to obtain a NAVSEA issued access badge. Minimum of 5 years of increasing responsibility and experience in the quality profession for a heavy manufacturer or shipyard is desired. A minimum of 3 years of increasing responsibility in project management experience is desired. Experience including work in an ISO 9000, Mil-Q-9858A or MIL-I-45208A QA Program required.
