Job summary

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is seeking a Waterfront Power Coordinator in San Diego, CA, who holds a Secret clearance and has extensive navy maintenance experience. The role focuses on power coordination with ships force and program staff to ensure safe, timely execution of shipboard work and testing.

The position requires coordinating tag-in/tag-out activities, supporting AIT and shipyard alterations, and maintaining daily waterfront power schedules.

Qualifications

  • 8 years of navy maintenance experience.
  • 3 years of oversight and management of removal, installation and testing of Navy ship systems during availabilities.
  • High School Diploma and 3 years of experience operating HM&E equipment on US Navy ships or submarines.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Power Coordination and interface with ships force, NSWCPD, ISRA and other activities for tag-in/tag-out of equipment.
  • Provide power to ensure safety of workers and support alterations by maintenance, shipyard and AIT.
  • Support Shipboard Testing with knowledge of Shipboard WAF process and eSOMS.
  • Provide waterfront power support daily and manage the schedule for all work.
