Job summary

KBR is seeking a Shipboard Motor Transport Mechanic to maintain, service, inspect and repair combustion-powered vehicles aboard ships, with assignments in Jacksonville and duty aboard vessels in Guam, Saipan, or Diego Garcia. A high school diploma, automotive training, and four years of related work experience are required.

A valid U.S. passport, driver’s license, CAC eligibility, and ability to obtain a Secret clearance are also required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• Certificate from a vocational school or equivalent in automotive repair is preferred.
• Completion of automotive courses or equivalent experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, services, inspects and repairs combustion-powered vehicles and motor transport equipment aboard ships.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
