Job summary

KBR seeks a Shipboard Motor Transport Mechanic to support the Marine Corps Prepositioning Program from Blount Island/Jacksonville with duty aboard ships in Guam/Saipan/Diego Garcia. You will maintain and repair combustion-powered vehicles and related motor transport equipment.

Requirements include a high school diploma, automotive repair training and 4+ years of relevant experience, plus passport, CAC/Base access and a Secret Clearance. U.S. citizenship is mandatory.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Certificate in electrical or automotive repair preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 4 years directly related work experience.
• Completion of automotive mechanics and maintenance courses.
• Must maintain passport, driver license, CAC/Base access, and secret clearance.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, services, inspects and repairs combustion-powered automotive vehicles, over-the-road trucks, and comparable vehicles such as light combat vehicles, and trucks as well as other motor transport equipment.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.

Education

High school graduate or equivalent

Certificate from vocational school in electrical or automotive repair

4 years directly related work experience

Completion of basic automotive mechanics course

Completion of automotive organizational maintenance course

Completion of automotive intermediate maintenance course

Completion of advanced motor transport maintenance courses

Must maintain a valid passport

Possess a valid State Motor Vehicle Operator License

Must be a U.S. Citizen

CAC/Base Access eligibility

Ability to obtain/maintain Secret Clearance
