Job summary

Hornblower Group is seeking a Restaurant Manager to direct dining cabin and galley operations, ensuring top-tier food, beverage service, and profitable vessel-wide operations. The role requires strong hospitality leadership and adherence to RESPECT standards across all shifts.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in high-volume restaurant settings, supervisory experience, and relevant certifications (RAMP, SERV Safe).

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of total restaurant experience in full-service, high-volume environment.
  • Must have supervisory experience.
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
  • RAMP Certification required.
  • SERV Safe Certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional hospitality to guests and shipmates.
  • Rotate as shift manager and supervise staff to ensure quality service.
  • Coordinate with other departments to meet guest needs and special requests.
  • Conduct pre-cruise meetings and brief crew on procedures.
  • Maintain safety and sanitation standards in line with regulations and guidelines.
  • Develop and implement programs to improve service quality and guest experience.
  • Lead by example and foster teamwork among crew members.
  • Assist in hiring, training, and development of restaurant staff.
  • Operate restaurant systems (POS, inventory, reservations) and reconcile cash/credit sales.
  • Create staffing schedules within budgeted guidelines.
