Job summary
CACI International Inc seeks a Part-Time On-Call Field Technician/Engineer to oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of shipboard network-based CCTV systems. The role involves working in a shipboard environment, collaborating with OEMs and marine engineers, and contributing to design elements of future systems.
Required are 5+ years as a field engineer, experience with CCTV networks, IP services, and compliance standards.
Qualifications
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
- Requires 5 years’ experience as a field engineer in technical programs.
- Experience installing, modifying, or maintaining shipboard CCTV systems/networks for ABS/USCG compliance.
- Experience with IP services: TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP, PPP, SIP.
- Proficient with Windows and/or Unix operating systems.
- Experience using VISIO and MS Office.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.
- Active Secret Clearance (or higher) is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate shipboard environments for installation of equipment.
- Install and oversee installation of equipment (with racks if needed).
- Perform onsite testing of equipment and coordinate with other engineers.
- Install and oversee installation of cables.
- Coordinate pick‑up and delivery of equipment.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues at commissioning.
- Cybersecurity experience is a plus.
