Job summary
CACI is seeking a Part-Time On-Call Field Technician/Engineer to design, install, and test shipboard CCTV networks aboard US Navy vessels. The role involves overseeing deployment, installation of servers, switches, monitors, UPS systems, and PC hardware, and coordinating with OEMs, marine engineers, and industrial support.
The position requires the ability to work in confined shipboard environments, travel up to 50% in the Continental US, and the potential transition to full-time based on
Qualifications
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
- 5+ years’ field engineer experience on technical programs, preferably in IT.
- Experience with shipboard CCTV systems and networks, ABS/USCG compliance.
- IP networking: TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP, PPP, SIP.
- Windows/Unix operating systems; VISIO and MS Office skills.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in shipboard environments.
Responsibilities
- Oversee installation and commissioning of shipboard CCTV security systems.
- Evaluate shipboard environments for equipment installation.
- Install and oversee equipment racks, cables, and hardware.
- Perform onsite testing and coordinate with other engineers.
- Troubleshoot hardware/software issues at commissioning.
- Cybersecurity experience is a plus.
