Required are US citizenship, ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance, and relevant Navy/Maritime training. Hands-on tool use and the ability to supervise junior personnel are essential for this position.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship is required and active security clearance is preferred.
• Navy A or C school training or equivalent journeyman maritime program.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must pass drug screening and have valid U.S. driver's license.
• Furnish personal hand tools for the position.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate shipboard mechanical systems and related equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical manuals; make red-line drawings.
• Disassemble, inspect, repair, reassemble, and test mechanical systems and HM&E equipment.
• Ensure compliance with Navy procedures, OSHA safety, and quality work instructions.
• Supervise junior personnel and coordinate with ship's team for maintenance tasks.
