Job summary

Reliability & Performance Technologies (R&P) in National City is seeking a Marine Mechanic to support ship classes from our San Diego Facility. The role involves inspection, repair, and maintenance of marine engines and propulsion systems, crucial for safe and efficient functioning of ship machinery.

The ideal candidate should have prior mechanical experience with Navy systems, and possess skills in shipboard installation trades. This position offers a competitive compensation package and benefits. Salary range is $33.00 - $35.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Prior experience with US Navy auxiliary equipment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Navy CAC or DBIDS credentials.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and maintain marine engines and propulsion systems.
• Mentor junior personnel.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals.

Skills

Knowledge of maritime mechanical systems

Ability to troubleshoot HM&E equipment

Experience with precision measuring instruments

Excellent critical thinking skills

Education

Prior military experience or maritime industry experience (2 years minimum)

Valid security clearance or ability to obtain one

OSHA 10 certification or willingness to obtain
