Job summary

American Cruise Lines is seeking Line Cooks for our shipboard culinary team for the 2027 season. You will prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner, collaborating with the culinary team to deliver a first-class dining experience onboard ships sailing America’s rivers.

Candidates should have at least 2 years of full-service culinary experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, motion-prone environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of culinary experience in a full-service dining setting.
• Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug test and background screen.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with the Executive Chef/Sous Chef to produce diversified meals for guests based on fresh ingredients.
• Organize workload in the kitchen to ensure efficient processes.
• Produce high-quality dishes following established menu choices.
• Adhere to guests’ dietary requests and safety standards.
• Maintain order and discipline in the kitchen during work hours.
• Ensure hygiene and food safety standards are prioritized throughout all stages of preparation.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers during meal services.
