Job summary

American Cruise Lines is seeking Line Cooks for the 2026 season on America’s rivers. You will assist in preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner aboard our ships, working closely with the Executive Chef and culinary team to ensure flawless service and a first-class dining experience.

We value extensive culinary credentials and training, with menus inspired by regional flavors. This role includes living onboard with provided quarters and a demanding, rewarding kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of culinary experience in full-service resort, hotel, country club or full-service restaurant.
• Experience cooking breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
• Familiarity with food safety standards.
• Strong problem solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to lead and manage time effectively.
• Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug test and background check.
• TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) required.

Responsibilities

• Work with Executive Chef/Sous Chef to produce diversified meals from fresh ingredients.
• Organize workload to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
• Produce high-quality dishes per established menus.
• Adhere to guests' dietary requests.
• Maintain kitchen秠' hygiene and safety standards.
• Ensure meals are prepared quickly and deliciously.
• Enforce food safety standards across all stations.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers during service.
