American Cruise Lines is seeking shipboard Cooks for the 2026 season to support dining on America’s rivers. You will prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner, collaborating with the culinary team to deliver first-class meals on board.

You will live aboard with provided accommodations, working in a dynamic kitchen that values freshness, regional flavors, and guest satisfaction while maintaining high safety and hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of culinary experience in full-service settings.
• Experience cooking breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
• Familiar with food safety standards and HACCP basics.
• Strong problem solving, organizational, and self-motivation skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and time-management abilities.
• Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with Executive/Sous Chef to prepare diversified meals from fresh ingredients.
• Organize workload to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
• Produce high-quality dishes following established menus.
• Adhere to guests' dietary requirements.
• Maintain kitchen order and discipline during shifts.
• Prioritize hygiene and food safety at all stages of preparation.
• Ensure meals are prepared quickly and deliciously.
• Enforce food safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers during service.
