Job summary

The Walt Disney Company invites applications for an Assistant Housekeeping Manager aboard a Disney Cruise Line vessel. You will lead housekeeping crew, develop staff, and collaborate with other departments to exceed guest expectations.

You report to the Housekeeping Manager and operate on a shipboard assignment. Ideal candidates bring leadership experience on ships or large hotels, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic maritime environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years housekeeping leadership experience on ships or 200+ room 5 Star hotel in the last 4 years.
• Proven experience leading a diverse team.
• Demonstrated strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and make decisions.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for assigned area including Guest Staterooms, Crew Accommodations, Public Areas, Deck and Wardrobe.
• Uphold high standards of cleanliness and ship maintenance.
• Conduct daily area inspections to ensure Show quality and USPH standards.
• Ensure compliance with MLC 2006 and proper time recording in company systems.
• Oversee scheduling and assignments for the housekeeping team.
• Address guest issues promptly and professionally.
• Conduct daily inspections for Stateroom and Pest Management.
• Ensure housekeeping areas meet USPH and Coast Guard regulations.
• Supervise use of equipment and chemicals.
• Oversee luggage operations on embark/debark days.
• Lead department meetings and pre-shift briefings.
