Job summary

Hornblower Group is seeking a Server Assistant for the Odyssey & Spirit of Boston. The role supports servers, ensuring prompt delivery and removal of food and beverages while remaining hospitable to guests and coworkers aboard the vessel.

You will learn the vessel and skyline, assist with seating, maintain cleanliness, and help with service stations. The position requires a high school diploma and availability to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must meet minimum state age requirements.
• Strong customer service, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to lift furniture and other heavy items; stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional hospitality to guests.
• Clean up used dishes and glassware from guests’ tables to galley.
• Scrape and stack dirty dishes and carry to galley for cleaning.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of all common areas and service stations.
• Set up and break down dining room and service stations as prescribed.
• Provide information to guests including menu descriptions, order of service, entertainment options, cruise route and points of interest.
• Assist with greeting and seating of guests when they arrive.
• Additional duties as assigned.
