Navy aircraft carriers, performing installation, maintenance and technical tasks in an industrial/shipboard environment. Travel may be required; DoD clearance and safe operation required; strong reading of drawings and troubleshooting skills desired.

Qualifications

• High School education or Trade School plus 4 years related experience.
• Experience with the System Operability Test (SOT) III process.
• Own hand tools as designated per trades specialty.
• Experience troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and testing of mechanical/hydraulic systems.
• Ability reading mechanical/hydraulic drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Installs, operates, maintains, repairs and modifies equipment.
• Work closely with supervisory level employees and other trades.
• Train/assist navy personnel on shipboard systems and day-to-day operation.
• Maintain and troubleshoot shipboard systems and related equipment.
• Develops and uses technical documents and reports.
• Schedule, brief and communicate with customers and senior management.
