Job summary

KBR is seeking a MCPP Shipboard Engineer (Construction) Equipment Mechanic to perform high level maintenance on diesel and gasoline engines and related construction equipment aboard a ship. You will guide junior mechanics and support senior technicians while performing duties as assigned.

The role requires a strong background in engine maintenance, a valid passport, security clearance, and the ability to lift 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent; sturdy mechanical background required.
• Military equipment maintenance training or equivalent experience preferred.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
• Must have a valid passport and state driver’s license.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in shipboard environments.

Responsibilities

• Performs high level preventative maintenance and repairs to diesel and gasoline engines and construction equipment.
• Maintains and repairs tractors, power shovels, road machinery, air compressors, mixers, and similar equipment.
• Provides technical assistance, guidance, or training to junior mechanics and assists senior mechanics.
• Performs other tasks as reasonably assigned.
