KBR is seeking a MCPP - Shipboard Engineer (Construction) Equipment Mechanic for a position located in Jacksonville, Florida. The role involves performing high-level preventative maintenance and repairs on diesel and gasoline construction equipment aboard ships and providing guidance to junior mechanics.

Requirements include a high school diploma, 4 years of related experience, completion of engineer courses, a valid passport, driver’s license, ability to lift 50 pounds, U.S.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 4 years of directly related work experience.
• Complete the Basic Engineer Program Mechanics Course, or equivalent.
• Complete the Engineer Equipment Chief Course, or equivalent.
• Must maintain a valid passport.
• Must have valid State Drivers License.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to comply with all established methods, quality standards, and time schedules applicable to this position.
• U.S. Citizen.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) and Base Access.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Performs high level preventative maintenance and repairs to diesel engines and gasoline and diesel driven construction equipment.
• Provides technical assistance, guidance, or training to lower level mechanics and assists higher level mechanics.
• Performs other tasks as reasonably assigned.
