Job summary

KBR, located in Jacksonville, FL, seeks a MCPP - Shipboard Engineer (Construction) Equipment Mechanic to perform high-level maintenance on diesel engines and construction equipment aboard ships in Guam, Saipan, or Diego Garcia. Role requires 4 years of related experience and ability to obtain security clearances.

Candidate must have a high school diploma, valid passport and driver’s license, and be able to lift 50 pounds. Relocation is not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 4 years of directly related work experience.
• Complete Basic Engineer Program Mechanics Course or equivalent.
• Complete Engineer Equipment Chief Course or equivalent.
• Must maintain a valid passport and valid State Driver's License.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform high level preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and construction equipment.
• Provide technical guidance or training to lower level mechanics and assist higher level mechanics.
• Fulfill other tasks as reasonably assigned.
