KBR is seeking a Shipboard Engineer (Construction) Equipment Mechanic for a position located in Jacksonville, FL, with duty on a ship deployed to Guam, Saipan, or Diego Garcia. The role focuses on high level preventative maintenance and repairs of diesel and gasoline driven construction equipment and related machinery aboard ships.

The candidate will train and guide junior mechanics, handle complex repairs, and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifikationen

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 4 years of directly related work experience.
• Complete the Basic Engineer Program Mechanics Course, or equivalent.
• Complete the Engineer Equipment Chief Course, or equivalent.
• Must maintain a valid passport.
• Must have valid State Drivers License.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to comply with all established methods, quality standards, and time schedules applicable to this position.
• U.S. Citizen.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) and Base Access.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

Aufgaben

• Performs high level preventative maintenance and repairs on diesel and gasoline powered construction equipment (tractors, power shovels, road machinery, air compressors, concrete mixers, etc.).
• Provides technical assistance, guidance, or training to lower level mechanics and assists higher level mechanics.
• Performs other tasks as reasonably assigned.
