Job summary

Veolia in North America seeks a Plant Operations Supervisor to oversee kiln, boiler, and turbine generator activities, ensuring safe and compliant production. You will coordinate shifts, monitor control systems, and lead improvements in safety and efficiency.

The role requires extensive knowledge of DOT, EPA, RCRA, and OSHA, plus supervisory experience. Candidates may work flexible schedules to support 24/7 plant operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• College level courses or equivalent work experience preferred.
• 7-10 years experience in the power industry preferred.
• 5-10 years incineration experience preferred.
• Two years supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate operations to meet production goals safely.
• Conduct shift toolbox meetings discussing safety and planned activity.
• Maintain daily shift logs of production, power and mechanical downtime.
• Coordinate daily activities of operating and production personnel.
• Monitor control panels and adjust DCS as needed.
• Leading special projects to improve safety, operations, and employee development.
• Train employees to safely operate site equipment.
• Respond to incidents and injuries promptly and report malfunctions.
• Ensure compliance with permits, SOPs, and CMStasks.
