CVS Health is seeking a Shift Supervisor Trainee in Richmond, VA. This entry-level position focuses on developing supervisory skills through management training and customer service. The role involves assisting store management, leading staff when managers are absent, and delivering exceptional service to customers. Successful completion of the training will lead to eligibility for promotion into supervisory roles.
The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher supervisory roles, such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee performs tasks as directed to develop supervisory skills, completes basic management training, and learns about key aspects of the business, including building customer loyalty through exceptional service and understanding CVS/pharmacy culture.
Upon successful completion of the program, trainees become eligible for promotion to open supervisory positions. These roles support store management by driving store performance and fostering customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager is onsite, the supervisor leads the store staff, ensures smooth operations, and completes opening and closing procedures.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, retail experience, deductive reasoning, analytical and computer skills, and advanced communication skills. Flexibility to work early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed is required.
The pay range reflects the base hourly rate or full-time salary; actual offers depend on experience, education, location, and other factors.
