CVS Health is seeking a dedicated and motivated Shift Supervisor Trainee for its Peru, Illinois location. This entry-level position is designed to develop supervisory skills while providing exceptional customer service. Successful trainees will have opportunities for promotion into supervisory roles, leading the store team and ensuring smooth operations while maintaining customer loyalty. This role requires flexibility and a commitment to excellent service.
The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher supervisory roles such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. Trainees perform assigned tasks to develop supervisory skills, complete basic management training, and learn about key aspects of the business, including building customer loyalty through exceptional service and understanding CVS/pharmacy culture.
Upon successful completion of the training program, trainees are considered for promotion to open supervisory positions. These roles support store management by driving store performance and enhancing customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager is onsite, the supervisor leads store staff, ensures smooth operations, and oversees opening and closing procedures.
Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent. Retail experience, deductive reasoning, analytical and computer skills, advanced communication skills, and flexibility to work early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime are also necessary.
This pay range reflects the base hourly rate or full-time salary; actual offers depend on experience, education, location, and other factors.
