The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher supervisory roles, such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee performs tasks as directed to develop supervisory skills, completes basic management training, and learns about key aspects of the business, including building customer loyalty through exceptional service and CVS/pharmacy culture.
Upon successful completion of the training program, trainees are considered for promotion to open supervisory positions. These roles support the store management team in driving store performance and customer satisfaction. When no manager is onsite, the supervisor leads store staff and ensures smooth operations, including opening and closing procedures.
Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent. Retail experience, deductive reasoning, analytical skills, computer skills, and advanced communication skills are preferred. Flexibility to work early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime is necessary.
