Job summary

CMC is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance teams across electrical, hydraulic, mechanical systems and welding equipment. You will coordinate safety, scheduling and job direction in a fast-paced industrial setting.

You will lead meetings, review procedures, and ensure accurate work orders while maintaining schedules and cost controls. High school diploma required; CMRS certification preferred and growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

  • Minimum two years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience with Preventative/Planned Maintenance processes and ability to develop procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic and mechanical schematics.
  • Experience working with welding machines, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic, and cooling systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead safety, quality, customer feedback and financial information meetings with maintenance team members.
  • Review safety requirements and identify potential hazards.
  • Assign technicians to jobs based on skills and training needs at shift start and throughout the day.
  • Review planned job packages for completeness and correctness.
  • Ensure technicians understand what, where, how, why, and when for each job; clarify as needed.
  • Make tactical decisions to stay as close to schedule as possible.
  • Ensure accurate distribution of time and materials to jobs with proper work order entries.
  • Initiate corrective work orders stemming from inspections and other sources.

What You'll Do
  • Regularly holds safety, quality, customer feedback and financial information meetings with maintenance team members

  • Assures accurate distribution of time and materials to specific jobs together with good feedback including proper work order entries
  • Assures that any necessary corrective work orders stemming from inspections and other sources have been initiated
What You'll Need
  • Two years' supervisory experience preferred
  • Experience with Preventative/Planned Maintenance processes and procedures and ability to develop procedures and schedules preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic and mechanical schematics
  • Experience working with and maintaining welding machines, hydraulic equipment, mechanical equipment, pneumatic equipment and cooling systems
  • Working knowledge of computers and computer software
  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Profession (CMRP) certification preferred
Your Education
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
