Job summary

Subway is seeking an energetic Shift Manager to lead daily restaurant operations, uphold brand standards, and drive profitability during peak shifts. You will oversee the team, ensure speed of service, accuracy in food prep, and maintain cleanliness targets across shifts.

The role rewards hands-on leadership with opportunities for advancement, competitive pay up to $21.00 per hour including tips, and flexible scheduling. Prior QSR supervisory experience and ServSafe certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) experience.
• At least 1 year in a leadership/supervisory role (Shift Leader, Crew Lead, or Assistant Manager).
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• ServSafe Certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervise store operations during opening, mid, or closing shifts, ensuring food prep and cleanliness targets are met.
• Lead by example on the line during peak periods, guiding staff on speed of service, portioning, and upselling.
• Oversee cash handling, register counts, safe drops, and POS shift reconciliation.
• Monitor product quality and inventory usage to control food costs and waste.
• Coach and train new team members on brand procedures, safety protocols, and guest engagement standards.
