Job summary

Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services in Fort Lee, NJ is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead field teams and deliver exceptional customer service while upholding brand standards. You will manage daily duties and ensure a smooth operation across the plaza’s guest services, food offerings, and cash handling.

You will train new hires, manage cash handling, and ensure opening, daily, and closing procedures are followed; flexibility for days, nights, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Consistently provide friendly customer service by engaging in positive, helpful interactions with customers and resolve complaints.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists in accordance with policies.
• Operate POS system, process payments, and follow cash handling policies.
• Ensure proper food handling, wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking and temperature checks.
• Perform kitchen tasks including prepping, thawing, cooking, packaging, wrapping and cleaning.
• Stock, clean, and sanitise workstation and equipment.
• Actively cross-sell and up-sell products.
• Maintain product knowledge across plaza offerings.
• Assist in training new team members.
• Follow brand standards, food safety requirements, and company policies.
• Inform plaza leadership of observations or issues.
• Execute other tasks as assigned.
