Job summary

Better Buzz Coffee is seeking a Shift Supervisor to join our team in California. You will lead daily operations, ensure guest satisfaction, and help train teammates to deliver the Buzz Life experience.

You'll thrive in a fast-paced cafe, coaching staff across coffee, tea, food, and service standards while maintaining cleanliness and safety. Availability for 28 hours weekly including nights, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in coffee, food service, or hospitality preferred.
• Previous fast paced coffee experience preferred.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred.
• Drive-Thru experience is preferred.
• Guest service focused, solution oriented.
• Passion for great coffee and exceptional guest service.
• Strong communicator with a positive, solution-oriented attitude.
• Reliable, punctual, and available for nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must be available to work 28 hours/week including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to work a mixture of open, closes and mid-shifts as dictated by the business needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the Better Buzz experience through fast, friendly, and genuine service
• Be knowledgeable about our coffee, tea, food, and specialty drinks
• Prepare and serve beverages and food consistently following recipe standards
• Work all café positions — our baristas are cross-trained and adaptable – including working in our kitchens to make food to order
• Help run and administer a smooth schedule for breaks, meal period and shifts
• Assist with setup, cleanup, stock work, and special tasks
• Lead all shift duties as directed by the manager on duty
• Lead store cleanliness and safety – always ready for guests and teammates
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with guests and team
• Responsible for balancing and managing deposits
• Active in inventory and waste management
• Adhere to opening and closing duties checklist and procedures
• Perform all other duties at the discretion of the store manager or other members of leadership
