Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Akron is seeking a dedicated Keyholder/Shift Supervisor to help run daily store operations and support mission-driven service.

You will manage opening/closing, cash handling, reporting, and merchandising tasks while promoting participant development and maintaining safe, clean work areas. Prior supervisory experience in retail is highly desirable and weekend/evening availability is needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift and move up to 30 lbs.
• Operate cash register, perform stock duties and provide customer service.
• Ability to drive and carry a valid driver's license and proof of insurance (preferred).
• Basic mathematical skills
• Previous supervisory experience in customer service with retail or food service is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate cash register and POS system accurately and efficiently.
• Perform opening and closing procedures and nightly deposits.
• Complete reports such as donation counts, daily statements, deposits, and cash drawer balances.
• Inspect textiles and goods to determine saleability and prepare items for resale.
• Assist in promoting service participants and maintain safe, clean work areas.
