Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Akron is seeking a dedicated Keyholder/Shift Supervisor to help run daily store operations and support mission-driven service.

You will manage opening/closing, cash handling, reporting, and merchandising tasks while promoting participant development and maintaining safe, clean work areas. Prior supervisory experience in retail is highly desirable and weekend/evening availability is needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift and move up to 30 lbs.
• Operate cash register, perform stock duties and provide customer service.
• Ability to drive and carry a valid driver's license and proof of insurance (preferred).
• Basic mathematical skills
• Previous supervisory experience in customer service with retail or food service is highly desirable.

A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A KEYHOLDER/SHIFT SUPERVISOR

As a Keyholder/Shift Supervisor you operate the cash register and point‑of‑sale system accurately and efficiently. You perform opening and closing procedures, and make nightly cash deposits as needed. With attention to detail, you complete reports such as donation counts, readings, daily business statements, deposits, and cash drawer balances.

You inspect textiles, items, and goods to determine saleability. You then sort, hang, tag, price, and prepare these items for resale throughout the day. You also help promote the development of service participants. You are committed to safety and help keep your work area clean and void of hazards as well as operate equipment with attention to safe operating procedures. You feel great about the vital role you play in supporting our mission of serving the community.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN ENTRY‑LEVEL KEYHOLDER/SHIFT SUPERVISOR

• Ability to lift and move up to 30 lbs.
• Able to operate cash register, perform stock duties and provide customer service
• Ability to drive and carry a valid driver's license and proof of insurance (preferred)
• Basic mathematical skills

Previous supervisory experience in customer service with retail or food service experience is highly desirable. Are you self‑motivated but also a team player? WORK SCHEDULE
