Job summary

The Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead Guest Services Professionals and Receptionists on site in Orlando. The role emphasizes leadership, security, and compliance with program guidelines while maintaining a dignified environment for residents.

You will supervise staff, coordinate dorm inspections, monitor performance, and handle incidents with tact. A high school diploma or GED and prior leadership experience are required.

Qualifications

• Requires at least a high school diploma or GED.
• Must have leadership experience.
• Understanding of the homeless population preferred.
• Bi-lingual candidates and Veterans are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the campus in the absence of management and senior leadership.
• Supervise Guest Services Professionals and Receptionist staff and notify Guest Services Manager of performance issues.
• Monitor, document and provide feedback on staff performance and concerns.
• Assist with feedback during performance reviews.
• Provide breaks and coverage for staff as needed.
• Coordinate and assist with dorm inspections and organization.
• Oversee inventory of guest supplies and linens.
• Oversee the Guest Support Professionals in leadership absence.
• Notify leadership of supply needs for cleaning and safety equipment.
• Ensure guests are screened properly by security on campus.
• Oversee weekly dorm inspections with Housing Specialists.
• Review incident reports and train staff accordingly.
• Provide mediation during staff or guest disagreements.
• De-escalate crisis situations to prevent violence.
• Ensure security SOPs are followed by security staff.
• Ensure meal components/counts meet Childcare Food Program requirements.
• Provide ongoing training and coaching to direct reports.
