Position Responsibilities
- Assist Store Manager with supervising, training, and developing store personnel.
- Take responsibility for store operations and the commercial department during the absence of the Commercial Sales Manager and Store Manager, on assigned shifts.
- Assist with managing the Commercial and Hub Departments (if applicable) to ensure service and delivery commitments are met.
- Delegate and ensure timely completion of store merchandising tasks.
- Operate cash registers and handle cash duties including deposits, petty cash, and lane accountability.
- Ensure adherence to all company policies and loss prevention procedures.
- Utilize ZNET to assist customers in locating merchandise or finding suitable alternatives.
- Maintain a safe working environment, including proper PPE implementation.
- Monitor cash flow, inventory, and security controls.
- Maintain sales productivity, store appearance, and merchandising standards.
- Conduct and review opening and closing procedures.
- Manage emergency situations and execute proper emergency procedures.
- Follow proper accident procedures.
- Provide feedback on AutoZoner performance to the store manager.
- Assist in monitoring and managing all activities related to Risk & Safety Management to ensure a safe work environment.
- Address customer concerns and resolve them with the goal of turning complaints into compliments.
- Process returns and manage inventory effectively.
- Communicate AutoZoner issues and concerns to the Store Manager promptly and confidentially.
- Motivate AutoZoners to deliver WOW! Customer Service, enhance productivity, and market products to increase sales and profits.
Position Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- ASE Certification preferred.
- Demonstrates high integrity.
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
- Ability to drive excellent customer service.
