AutoZone's Full-Time Shift Supervisors assist the Store Manager in leading company initiatives and ensuring maximum productivity. They are responsible for training high-performing AutoZoners in a safe environment, driving sales, controlling expenses and shrink, and maintaining compliance with company procedures in line with AutoZone’s expectations. Shift Supervisors exceed customer expectations by delivering a WOW! Customer shopping experience on assigned shifts by Living the Pledge every day.

Position Responsibilities

1. Assist Store Manager with supervising, training, and developing store personnel.
2. Assume responsibility for store operations and the commercial department during the absence of the Commercial Sales Manager and Store Manager, on assigned shifts.
3. Help manage the Commercial and Hub Departments to ensure commercial accounts and store deliveries are serviced as promised.
4. Delegate and ensure timely completion of store merchandising tasks.
5. Operate cash registers and handle cash duties, including deposits, petty cash, and lane accountability.
6. Follow all company policies and loss prevention procedures.
7. Use ZNET to assist customers in locating merchandise or finding suitable alternatives.
8. Maintain a safe working environment, including the implementation of PPE practices.
9. Monitor cash flow, inventory, and security controls.
10. Maintain sales productivity, store appearance, and merchandising standards.
11. Conduct opening and closing procedures.
12. Manage emergency situations and conduct proper emergency procedures.
13. Follow proper accident procedures.
14. Provide feedback on AutoZoner performance to the store manager.
15. Assist in monitoring and managing activities related to Risk & Safety Management to ensure a safe work environment.
16. Address customer concerns with the goal of turning complaints into compliments.
17. Manage returns and inventory effectively.
18. Communicate AutoZoner issues and concerns to the Store Manager in a timely and confidential manner.
19. Motivate AutoZoners to deliver WOW! Customer Service, enhance productivity, and promote products to increase sales and profits.

Position Requirements

1. High School diploma or equivalent.
2. ASE Certification preferred.
3. Demonstrate high integrity.
4. Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
5. Ability to drive customer service.
