AutoZone's Full-Time Shift Supervisors assist the Store Manager with leading company initiatives and ensuring maximum productivity, training high performing AutoZoners in a safe environment, driving sales, controlling expenses and shrink, and remaining compliant with company procedures in accordance to AutoZone’s expectation. Shift Supervisors exceed customer’s expectation by delivering a WOW! Customer shopping experience on assigned shifts by Living the Pledge every day.

Position Responsibilities

1. Assist Store Manager with supervising, training and developing store personnel.
2. Assume responsibility for the store operation and commercial department in the absence of the Commercial Sales Manager and Store Manager, on assigned shifts.
3. Help manage the Commercial and Hub Departments to ensure service and delivery commitments are met.
4. Delegate and ensure store merchandising tasks are completed timely.
5. Operate cash registers and follow cash handling procedures, including deposits, petty cash, and lane accountability.
6. Ensure compliance with company policies and loss prevention procedures.
7. Utilize ZNET to assist customers in locating merchandise or finding alternatives.
8. Maintain a safe working environment, including proper PPE practices.
9. Monitor cash flow, inventory, and security controls.
10. Maintain sales productivity, store appearance, and merchandising standards.
11. Conduct opening and closing procedures.
12. Manage emergency situations following proper procedures.
13. Follow accident procedures and report incidents.
14. Provide performance feedback to the store manager.
15. Assist with risk and safety management activities.
16. Address customer concerns and aim to turn complaints into compliments.
17. Process returns and manage inventory effectively.
18. Communicate issues and concerns to the Store Manager promptly and confidentially.
19. Motivate AutoZoners to deliver excellent customer service, improve productivity, and market products to increase sales and profits.

Position Requirements

1. High School diploma or equivalent.
2. ASE Certification preferred.
3. High level of integrity demonstrated.
4. Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
5. Ability to drive customer service.
