Job summary

Applegreen USA is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead on-site teams at Welcome Centers Central Services. You will ensure excellent customer service, train new staff, and enforce brand and food safety standards across shifts.

The role involves cash handling, POS operation, food preparation, and active upselling. Flexible schedules and opportunities to grow within a fast-paced travel plaza network are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience handling cash accurately and following cash policies.
• Strong customer service and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Past supervision or lead role preferred with team coordination abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Consistently provide friendly customer service by engaging with travelers and resolving complaints.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures and checklists.
• Operate POS, process payments, and adhere to cash handling policies.
• Ensure proper food handling, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, and temperature checks.
• Perform kitchen tasks including prep, thawing, cooking, packaging, wrapping, and cleaning.
• Stock, clean, and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Actively cross-sell and up-sell products and maintain knowledge of plaza offerings.
• Assist in training new team members.
• Follow brand standards, food safety requirements, and company policies.
• Inform plaza leadership of observations or issues and escalate as needed.
• Execute a variety of other tasks as assigned.
