Job summary

Applegreen (US) Welcome Centers is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead shifts, train new team members, and ensure high standards in customer service and cash handling. The role requires maintaining brand standards and food safety compliance while efficiently managing daily operations at the plaza.

You will supervise team members, handle POS transactions, and participate in opening and closing duties, with a focus on friendly traveler interactions and accurate cash handling.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Consistently provide friendly customer service by engaging with travelers and resolving complaints.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists.
• Operate POS system and process payments following cash handling policies.
• Ensure proper food handling including wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating and temp checks.
• Perform kitchen tasks such as prepping, thawing, cooking, packaging and cleaning.
• Stock, clean and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Actively cross-sell and up-sell products.
• Maintain knowledge of plaza products and services.
• Assist in training new team members.
• Follow brand standards, food safety requirements and company policies.
• Inform plaza leadership of observations or problems.
