Job summary

UCP Long Island in Commack, NY is seeking an entry-level manager to supervise Direct Support Staff during shifts and ensure quality of care for residents with developmental or intellectual disabilities.

The role includes scheduling, record-keeping, ensuring safety, conducting drills, and upholding regulations. High school diploma and NYS driver's license required; management experience is preferred but not required. Benefits include medical, dental, paid time off and retirement plan.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED with two years of related care experience.
• Licensure: NYS Driver license (required) with one year driving experience.
• Management experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise up to 12 DSPs per shift and ensure quality of care.
• Schedule and assign staff to activities to promote independence.
• Maintain and post staff assignments and adjust for availability and needs.
• Keep records on time/attendance, performance, deficiencies and training needs.
• Ensure cleanliness and order in all areas of the residence.
• Conduct and record fire drills and evacuations.
• Treat staff with respect and maintain professional conduct; work as a team.
• Assist in implementing applicable regulations.
