Job summary

UCP Long Island is seeking an Assistant Residence Manager to oversee a residential program for individuals with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities. You will lead Direct Support Professionals and help ensure residents receive high-quality care.

This entry-level management role offers paid training, growth opportunities, and a comprehensive benefits package. A NYS driver’s license and a high school diploma or GED are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 to 6 months related experience required.
• Valid New York State Driver's License and at least 1 year of licensed driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day operation of a residential program.
• Train, coach, supervise, and evaluate Direct Support Professionals.
• Ensure staff are equipped with skills and knowledge for high-quality care.
• Communicate with families, guardians, and advocates regarding resident progress.
• Monitor medication administration for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Support implementation of individual goals, plans, and services.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming home environment.
• Assist with regulatory and agency requirements compliance.
• Provide direct support to residents when staffing needs arise.
