Job summary

Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead on-shift teams, ensure exceptional customer service, and uphold brand standards and food safety requirements across the plaza. You will train new team members and monitor compliance with cash handling policies.

You will also manage opening/closing procedures, operate the POS, handle customer payments, and maintain product knowledge while supporting cross-sales and initiatives to improve service quality.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Consistently provide friendly customer service and resolve customer complaints.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists in accordance with company policies/procedures.
• Operate POS and process payments following cash handling policies.
• Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed including wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating, and checking temperature of products.
• Perform kitchen tasks such as prepping, thawing, cooking, packaging, wrapping, and cleaning.
• Stock, clean, and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Actively cross-sell and up-sell products.
• Maintain product knowledge of plaza offerings.
• Assist in training new team members.
• Follow brand standards, food safety requirements, and company policies.
• Inform leadership of observations or problems.
• Execute other tasks as assigned.
