Job summary

Starbucks Coffee Company is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead the store team during busy periods, ensuring quality beverages and food prepared to standard recipes. The role requires coaching and delegating tasks to a multi-person team while maintaining a welcoming store environment and strong customer service.

Ideal candidates have at least 6 months of customer-facing experience, strong communication skills, and ability to work flexible hours, including holidays.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months of experience in a position that required constant interacting with and fulfilling the requests of customers
• At least six (6) months of experience delegating tasks to other employees and/or coordinating the tasks of two (2) or more employees
• Ability to direct the work of others
• Ability to learn quickly
• Effective oral communication skills
• Knowledge of the retail environment
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to build relationships

Responsibilities

• Lead shift operations with craft and heart to ensure a welcoming space for customers
• Ensure quality beverages and food products are prepared to standard recipes or customized for customers
• Coach and delegate tasks to team members to coordinate work of two or more employees
• Maintain high store safety, cash handling and security standards
• Provide excellent customer service and effective communication with customers and team members
