Hills & Dales is seeking a Shift Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations on site in Dubuque, IA, directing Personal Assistants and ensuring the resident’s treatment plan is implemented by the interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Supervises Personal Assistants and mentors team.
• Ensures compliance with safety and emergency procedures.
• Responsible for shift coverage and incident documentation.

Responsibilities

• Complete and document all shift responsibilities daily.
• Implement safety and emergency procedures, including fire safety, disaster plans, and equipment maintenance.
• Assess staff performance and provide guidance.
• Address staff concerns and provide supervision and training.
• Direct and evaluate Personal Assistants' work, providing necessary feedback.
• Resolve staff issues and maintain positive relations, escalating concerns as needed.
• Review and approve incident reports for Personal Assistants.
• Assist department supervisors and perform additional duties as required.
• Follow departmental policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Attend training and professional development opportunities.
• Communicate with families as needed.
• Respond to resident, staff, and visitor emergencies.
• Handle property emergencies in the absence of the Facilities Director.
• Document and address incidents, initiating follow-up as necessary.
• Schedule staff to ensure services are provided and shifts are covered.
• Complete service documentation using approved methods.
