Job Description

Shift Supervisor (SS) for Burger King Restaurants is responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers with an entrepreneurial, sales‑driven spirit for the company. A key priority includes assisting the GM/AM in the daily operation of the restaurant. Under the direction of the GM/AM, this position will also be responsible for maintaining inventories, cash control, restaurant appearance and completing daily paperwork. Candidates should be able to strategically train and develop a productive store team whose primary focus is promoting our brand while offering exceptional customer service. The SS should inspire and encourage teamwork towards successfully achieving sales goals, upholding daily operations and most importantly, create a fun and energized environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the GM/AM in daily restaurant operations.
• Maintain inventories, cash control, restaurant appearance and complete daily paperwork.
• Strategically train and develop a productive store team to promote the brand and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Inspire and encourage teamwork to achieve sales goals and maintain daily operations.
• Create a fun and energized environment for employees and guests.
• Customer Service: Assure a pleasant shopping experience, respond to complaints, solicit feedback, and coach the team to consistently provide high‑level service.
• Clean, Safe and Secure: Maintain a facility that is consistently “inspection ready” in all areas, comply with Department of Health and brand inspection standards, and follow daily Safety Inspection/Emergency Response Protocols to identify and remove hazards.
• Food Safety and Planning: Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, cleanliness, and maintenance; ensure compliance with operational standards, policies, and laws; uphold high quality of food preparation and service while maintaining a professional image.
• Training: Assist the GM/AM to ensure the restaurant has a well‑trained staff that meets and exceeds operational standards.
• Inventory Control: Maintain accurate inventories as if they were cash, investigate variances, keep storage areas clean and organized, and label products with dates.
• Labor Controls: Ensure all shifts are covered and properly staffed, coordinate daily assignments based on sales.
• Cash Controls: Execute all cash management activities accurately, process credit cards safely, and report any unexplained cash shortage over $5 to the GM or DM.
• Operations: Strive to be the best in the brand, keep the restaurant in compliance with all brand standards, maintain a safe clean work environment, pass all internal operations training and paperwork audits, meet brand inspection standards, and provide superior customer service.
