Job summary

Reworld Waste, LLC in Rahway, NJ, is seeking a Shift Supervisor to oversee the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the facility during your assigned shift, including direct oversight of boilers, turbines, steam plant systems, and related equipment.

You will conduct regular rounds, coordinate personnel, ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental permits, respond to emergencies, and drive continuous improvements in reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Three plus years of supervisory experience in heavy industrial or manufacturing settings.
• Active New Jersey Operating Engineer/Boiler Operator license (Black Seal/Blue Seal/Red Seal or equivalent).
• Hands-on experience with high-pressure boilers and electric generating equipment.
• Knowledge of steam power plant operations, instrumentation, and control systems.
• Experience in power plant or resource recovery operations is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe working environment and adherence to policies and safety protocols.
• Oversee boilers, turbines, steam plant systems and related equipment.
• Conduct plant rounds and coordinate personnel to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Direct or perform required actions during emergencies to restore safe operation.
• Inspect shift operations daily, weekly, monthly; track housekeeping tasks.
• Lead projects from the Operations Manager and mentor shift personnel.
