Palm Shores is now hiring for a Behavioral Health Shift Supervisor.
Palm Shores Behavioral Health Center provides quality mental health care and education services for adolescents, ages 11–17 who are experiencing behavioral, emotional, educational, family and social challenges. The dedicated professionals at Palm Shores Behavioral Health Center provide quality mental health treatment for children. The program establishes healthy behaviors and prepares children to transition back home.
The Shift Supervisor performs supervisory functions over all mental health techs and direct patient care duties in a residential behavioral health setting. The Shift Supervisor ensures facility policies are enforced. The Shift Supervisor is also a trainer for the facility.
This full-time position is scheduled for 32 hours a week.
Scheduled Shifts:
Scheduled off days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Saturday.
** Paid monthly supervisor meetings may be on off days; however, attendance is required.
Benefit Highlights:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; AA or BA in psychology preferred.
Experience: 3-5 years’ experience in Mental Health with 1 year supervisory experience; or a Bachelor's degree in Mental Health field with 2 years in Mental Health, 1 year supervisory.
License/Certification: CPR; Handle With Care (trained at facility).
Verification of absence of criminal record on local, state, and federal levels.
Skills: Demonstrates the ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Must be able to maintain composure under stressful situations while upholding facility mission and vision.
Physical Requirements: Extensive walking, standing, sitting. Must be able to lift over fifty (50 lbs.) pounds. Must be able to participate in the physical restraint and seclusion of patients. Must be able to participate in and complete Handle With Care Training on semi-annual and annual basis and be CPR certified.
