Job summary

Rock Spot Climbing is seeking a Shift Supervisor to deliver outstanding customer service to members and guests while overseeing daily gym operations as the supervisor on duty. You will handle sales, coordinate floor staff, and promote relevant products and events under the direction of local management.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree, indoor climbing and belaying experience, prior supervisory experience, and is detail oriented, punctual, and reliable.

• Indoor rock climbing and belaying experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• First Class Customer Service - welcome customers of all levels of experience in person and over the phone while promoting gym products and services.
• Superior Sales - meet/exceed local sales goals by matching guests with products.
• Quality Coaching - supervise a team of floor staff to maintain a safe, positive environment.
• Facility Stewardship - ensure safety/cleanliness of facility and equipment during opening/closing, including registers and stock.
• Targeted Sales - understand members/guests and connect them with relevant products and services.
• Administrative Excellence - use computer platforms to perform transactions accurately.
• Marketing Minded - ensure signage and social media are up to date and effective.

Overview

The Shift Supervisor at Rock Spot Climbing is responsible for delivering outstanding customer service to members and guests. While overseeing the day to day operations of the gym as the supervisor on duty they will handle all sales, coordinate floor staff and promote relevant products and events. All activities shall be conducted under the direction of the local management team.

• Quality Coaching - Maintaining a safe, positive and productive atmosphere while supervising a team of floor staff.
• Facility Stewardship - Assume responsibility for the safety/cleanliness of the facility and equipment while opening or closing, including registers, retail stock, and gym floor.
• Targeted Sales - Learn about members and guests through conversation and connect them with the products and services that are most relevant to them.
• Administrative Excellence - Utilize multiple computer platforms to perform all transactions and tasks with accuracy and precision.
