Job summary

Rock Spot Climbing is seeking a Shift Supervisor to deliver outstanding customer service and oversee daily gym operations. You will manage sales, coordinate floor staff, and promote products and events under local management guidance.

Ideal candidates have indoor climbing and supervisory experience, strong organizational skills, and a friendly, outgoing personality. This role requires reliability and a proactive approach to maintaining a safe, welcoming climbing environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide first-class customer service to gym members and guests.
• Meet and exceed local sales goals by pairing guests with the right products/services.
• Supervise floor staff and maintain a safe, positive gym atmosphere.
• Oversee opening/closing, manage registers, stock, and gym floor upkeep.
• Coordinate with local management and promote products and events.
• Maintain in‑gym signage and update social media as needed.
• Handle administrative tasks across multiple computer platforms.

Job description

The Shift Supervisor at Rock Spot Climbing is responsible for delivering outstanding customer service to members and guests. While overseeing the day to day operations of the gym as the supervisor on duty they will handle all sales, coordinate floor staff, and promote relevant products and events. All activities shall be conducted under the direction of the local management team. Our team members are dynamic individuals who are on board with our Mission and Core Values, noted below.

Roles and Responsibilities

• First Class Customer Service - Make customers of all levels of experience feel welcome in person and over the phone while promoting relevant gym products and services.
• Superior Sales - Strive to meet and exceed local sales goals by matching guests with the products we offer that best meet their needs.
• Quality Coaching - Maintaining a safe, positive and productive atmosphere while supervising a team of floor staff.
• Facility Stewardship - Assume responsibility for the safety/cleanliness of the facility and equipment while opening or closing, including registers, retail stock, and gym floor.
• Targeted Sales - Learn about members and guests through conversation and connect them with the products and services that are most relevant to them.
• Administrative Excellence - Utilize multiple computer platforms to perform all transactions and tasks with accuracy and precision.
• Marketing Minded - Ensure in gym signage and social media are up to date and effective

Qualifications And Skills

• Previous indoor rock climbing and top rope belaying experience
