Job summary

Charter Next Generation Massillon, OH is seeking a Direct Labor Shift Supervisor to oversee daily production floor activities on a 12-hour shift. You will enforce safety and quality policies, coordinate with shift supervisors and department managers, and support safety programs to maintain a safe work environment.

You will lead a team, review orders, conduct coaching sessions, and ensure compliance with IMS & BRC standards.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of leadership experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing facility.
• Degree or certification in management or related field is desired.
• Proven track record of leadership, quality, and safety performance.

The Role

From machine operators to maintenance technicians to quality inspectors, our teams help protect what matters most—making everyday life safer, smarter, and more sustainable.

Work only 15 days per month with our unique rotating 3-4 day schedule

What You'll Do

• Directly supervise and manage daily production floor activities across your shift, coordinating with other shift supervisors and department managers
• Enforce safety and quality policies, participate in safety audits, and support safety programs to maintain a safe work environment
• Ensure compliance with IMS & BRC standards to support continuous certification
• Review order packets and production paperwork for accuracy, including quality checks, visual inspections, and lot number traceability
• Conduct performance evaluations and regular coaching sessions to develop staff and drive accountability
• Use Gallup engagement survey data and ADP (HRIS) to support employee engagement, attendance tracking, and performance management
• Participate in interviewing and selecting new hires for your shift
• Lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining strong quality, safety, and productivity standards

What You’ll Bring

Essential Qualifications:

• 3-5+ years of leadership experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing facility, with a focus on quality, safety, and accountability
• Degree or certification in management or related is desired
• Proven track record of strong leadership, quality, and safety performance, with no attendance concerns
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and connect with a team to achieve results
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, especially in ambiguous or complex situations
• Able to lead and control multiple projects and priorities simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts and lift up to 65 pounds
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening
• Wages ranging from $27.00 per hour, dependent on experience.
