Job summary

Charter Next Generation, Inc. is seeking a Direct Labor Supervisor for Massillon, OH.

You will oversee production floor activities and coordinate with shift supervisors to meet safety, quality, and productivity goals on a rotating 15-day month schedule. The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years of supervisory manufacturing experience, a management degree preferred, and a proven track record in leading teams, improving quality, and ensuring safety.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing facility
• Degree or certification in management or related is desired
• Proven track record of leadership, quality, and safety performance
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and connect with a team
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Able to lead and control multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts and lift up to 65 pounds
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening
• Wages ranging from $27.00 per hour, dependent on experience

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise and manage daily production floor activities across your shift
• Enforce safety and quality policies, participate in safety audits, and support safety programs
• Ensure IMS & BRC standards compliance to support continuous certification
• Review order packets and production paperwork for accuracy, including quality checks
• Conduct performance evaluations and regular coaching sessions to develop staff
• Use Gallup engagement survey data and ADP (HRIS) to support employee engagement, attendance tracking, and performance management
• Participate in interviewing and selecting new hires for your shift
• Lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining strong quality, safety, and productivity standards

The Role

From machine operators to maintenance technicians to quality inspectors, our teams help protect what matters most—making everyday life safer, smarter, and more sustainable.

Work only 15 days per month with our unique rotating 3-4 day schedule

What You'll Do

• Directly supervise and manage daily production floor activities across your shift, coordinating with other shift supervisors and department managers
• Enforce safety and quality policies, participate in safety audits, and support safety programs to maintain a safe work environment
• Ensure compliance with IMS & BRC standards to support continuous certification
• Review order packets and production paperwork for accuracy, including quality checks, visual inspections, and lot number traceability
• Conduct performance evaluations and regular coaching sessions to develop staff and drive accountability
• Use Gallup engagement survey data and ADP (HRIS) to support employee engagement, attendance tracking, and performance management
• Participate in interviewing and selecting new hires for your shift
• Lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining strong quality, safety, and productivity standards

What You’ll Bring

Essential Qualifications:

• 3-5+ years of leadership experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing facility, with a focus on quality, safety, and accountability
• Degree or certification in management or related is desired
• Proven track record of strong leadership, quality, and safety performance, with no attendance concerns
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and connect with a team to achieve results
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, especially in ambiguous or complex situations
• Able to lead and control multiple projects and priorities simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts and lift up to 65 pounds
