Job description

The shift supervisor is responsible for assisting the store manager in maintaining a positive environment that provides fast, efficient, and friendly service, ensuring a Total Quality Experience for both customers and team members. The role involves training, customer service, product knowledge, encouraging safe work practices, and demonstrating commitment to our Guiding Principles and House Rules. This position directly supervises the barista and lead barista and acts as the manager on duty in the absence of the store and/or assistant manager.

Store Operations:

  1. Maintains a clean, organized, and stocked environment; assists in the distribution of product shipments when necessary.
  2. Performs all POS duties and front and back of house functions, including opening and closing procedures, and coordinates with the Corporate Office as needed.
  3. Establishes effective and positive communication among all team members.
  4. Assists the store manager in maintaining proper coverage and team member schedules to ensure customer service standards and adherence to meal and break policies.
  5. Ensures all cash handling procedures are followed and is accountable for store funds during shifts.
  6. Supports the store manager and assistant manager in planning and executing sales promotions effectively.
  7. Provides guidance and sets an example for team members, ensuring Standard Operating Procedures are maintained and followed.
  8. Ensures team members follow store policies and adhere to merchandising and cleanliness standards.
  9. Promotes safe work habits, reports potential hazards, operational inconsistencies, and team member incidents, and conducts initial investigations into accidents to maintain a safe environment.

Service:

  1. Serves as the role model for outstanding service and leads the service initiative during the shift.
  2. Proactively resolves customer problems and ensures customer satisfaction in various situations.
  3. Ensures team members provide fast, efficient, friendly, and personalized service, building rapport with customers by learning their names and preferences.
  4. Responds proactively to prevent service issues, investigates and resolves customer incidents, and documents as necessary.
  5. Monitors, coaches, and encourages team members to meet the company's service standards.

Compensation: $15.00 per hour
