Job summary

Coherent Corp. in Fremont, CA seeks a Production Supervisor to lead on-shift activities and ensure targets are met. You will manage technician resources, coordinate materials, and collaborate with Process Engineering, QA, Planning, and Facilities to optimize throughput.

Responsibilities include cross-training, shift discipline, timecard accuracy, and participation in audits. Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, 6S, and MES systems (CAMSTAR) is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 yrs. experience as a supervisor or line manager in production/manufacturing setting.
• Experience with MES e.g., CAMSTAR and PDM e.g., Agile.
• Auditor/auditee in ISO 9K/14K environments.

Responsibilities

• Direct production output for the shift and ensure targets are met.
• Manage technician/operator resources and allocation.
• Understand lean manufacturing concepts and coordinate with planning for material flow.
• Cross-train technicians and cover for PTO/absences.
